Olga Ivashchenko is a ukrainian photojournalist. Вorn in Kharkiv region, Ukraine, she specializes in social storytelling, news reporting, politics and sports. She graduated from the Kharkiv National University, where she received a Masters degree in Biophysics and teaching.

Olga has been a frequent contributor to leading international news agencies including Reuters, Associated Press News (AP), European Pressphoto Agency (EPA) and Agence France-Presse (AFP). Locally, she works with Ukrainian Independent News Agency (UNIAN) and others.

Her work has been published in Time, Financial Times, Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, The Telegraph, The Wall Street Journal, Bild, Die Ziet, Liberation, Le Parisien, The Atlantic, Chicago Tribune, International Business Time and The Guardian, among others.

She has collaborated with many international organizations including International Red Cross (ICRC), United Nations (UN), The World Bank, Amnesty International (AI) and Human Rights Watch (HRW).

From 2011, Olga was based in Kharkiv and covered local news.
Since 2014 she reported extensively from the conflict in Ukraine (Donetsk and Luhansk regions).
From 2014 to 2019 in parallel, she was based in Kyiv, covering news in the Ukrainian parliament.
Since 2022 she has been working with Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch in the investigation of human rights violations during the war in Ukraine.
In 2023, she worked on a photo project with the International Red Cross (ICRC), which will result in a photo exhibition at the Kyiv History Museum.
Currently, Olga is working on social, economic and political topics with the leading Canadian newspaper The Globe and Mail, and with such publications as The Times, WOZ, Der Standard and others. In parallel, she plans to work on her personal projects.

Olga's photographic works have been presented at group exhibitions in the USA, Switzerland, Germany, Croatia, the Netherlands, and other countries.
